Zii is Kim "Zii" Thomas, who works as Iroczii Glass out of the Urban Pheasant Glass Studio in Detroit's Russell Industrial Center. Her path started at the Rhode Island School of Design, and with a background in dental assisting and special effects makeup, she brings a hauntingly lifelike touch to borosilicate, from detailed glass teeth to whimsical, surreal everyday objects. Her work has been recognized by the Smithsonian American Art Museum and shown in Glass in the Expanded Field at the Hunterdon Art Museum.
