Subliminal Glass is the studio of Patrick McDougall, working out of a cabin studio in the woods north of Portland, Oregon. He started at 19 with an apprenticeship making straight shooter pipes, and today runs a team of artists making production scientific glass, which frees them up for big, elaborate art pipes, the kind he says few boro artists take on because of the risk.
That scientific backbone shows in this collection of water pipes for flower: 2x2 fusion perc tubes in Marina and Pink Slyme, 20-inch straight tubes with gridded percs, Fab tubes and a Fab In-Cycler tube. At the top end are numbered Subliminal x Salt collabs, pairing that engineering with Austin's own Salt.
