Mike Luna was born in Torrance, California and started blowing glass in 1999 in Oregon, then apprenticed under Darby Holm starting in 2000. He's best known for dragons: dragon headies, pendants and sculpture, a motif he sees as the strongest symbol of energy and good fortune. Over the years he's collabed with AKM, Ryno, Darby Holm, Justin Carter and Salt.
Right now Smoke ATX has the Terps Elephant Rig by Mike Luna, a sculptural heady concentrate rig made in 2017 and the kind of piece that anchors a collection.
Come see it at Smoke ATX in Austin, on South Lamar, Slaughter Lane or Burnet Road, or buy it online.
